Beginning 1 November 2023, our doctors will resume offer bulk billing for standard consultations for existing patients aged 15 and under who have a Medicare card (weekdays only).
This is due to the federal government increasing the bulk billing incentive rate for children in the 2023-24 budget.
They will also bulk bill existing patients aged 16 and 17 who have a Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card.
Note: new patients aged 15 and under (or aged 16-17 with a Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card) are charged a $40 gap for their first consult.
Please note that our doctors already offer bulk billing to in the following circumstances, and will continue to do so (weekdays only):
Patients with a DVA gold card;
Patients who identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
Appointments for vaccinations and injections only, when booked in a vaccine clinic with our nurse, and only for existing patients with a Medicare card.
We recommend our regular patients register with our clinic under MyMedicare - in future, this may become a pre-requisite to our clinic continuing to offer bulk billing to children. See our MyMedicare news page for more information and details on how to register.
