Dr Mathini Ruthra-Rajan is a female doctor who began working from North Brighton Medical in 2020.

In August 2019, Mathini moved to Australia with her young family from the UK, where she was born and raised.

She studied at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ School of Medicine, at King’s College London and completed her medical degree in 2005. 

She has worked as a female GP in the Elsternwick and Brighton areas for the past three years.

She worked on the Central Coast in NSW in 2007-8 before returning to the UK and completing her GP training in August 2011, where she worked as a GP in London and Surrey until 2019. She has also tutored and examined at St George’s Medical School in London and is looking forward to becoming more involved in education here in Australia. 

As a family GP, she has a particular interest in women’s health and family planning, mental health and children’s health. She is qualified to insert and remove implanons and IUDs.

Mathini works on most weekdays, plus alternate Saturday mornings.
