Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness month.

All men should be aware of the major prostate cancer symptoms so they can look out for them.
If you notice you are hesitating more at the toilet before you start to urinate, your urine flow has reduced strength, or you are dribbling more urine, then you may have an enlarged prostate.

This does not necessarily mean you have cancer, because the prostate gland can cause these symptoms through age-related enlargement.

It does mean you should have a chat with a doctor though.
The same goes for if you pass blood when urinating. There can be lots of causes for this but it needs to be looked into.

Please book an appointment with us online or by phone if you want to discuss further.
