We only do iron infusions for existing patients, where a GP working from this clinic recommends the iron infusion. This generally means that our GP ordered blood tests for the patient, the results of which show an iron deficiency, and the patient has unsuccessfully tried other options such as oral iron supplements.
Unfortunately, we cannot perform iron infusions for:
new patients;
patients who do not attend our clinic regularly;
children aged 18 or under; or
patients who have a referral from another GP or other healthcare professional to get an iron infusion - if your own GP clinic doesn’t do iron infusions, then we suggest you take the referral to Holmesglen Private Hospital.
